Social Media has become a staple of communication. In an instant, you can share an idea, opinion, picture, or even video with all of your friends and family. It’s easy to get caught up in a world that is constantly spilling over with information and updates. Now more than ever it is important to be conscientious of what you submit online and remember who will be reading it.
1. Sick Days
For a heavy social media user it may be difficult to put off updating your status for a day. This is when many employees can get blindsided. If you have called out sick from work and you are not really sick do not post about all the fun you are having on your “day off.” Employers are finding it very easy to keep an eye on their employees’ social media accounts.
2. Working Hours
During work hours, it is expected that you fulfill your job duties, regardless of how many great YouTube videos you are dying to see.
