How to Get Rid of Useless PC Programs

In an attempt to provide some more customers, most manufacturers of PCs, desktop or portable, pre-install a number of programs or trial versions of some popular applications on new systems.


Especially for laptops, many applications are provided to help the user become familiar with the various functions, facilitates recording on official support or offer exclusive access to some services of the manufacturer.

Once configured, the program identifies the applications installed on your computer and provides recommendations on their utility. The score is given to an application based on user evaluation. More details on a specific application can be obtained by selecting it from the list and pressing the “What is it?” button. To uninstall an application deemed unnecessary, press the ‘Uninstall” button and it will initiate proceedings. Finally, “Should I Remove It?” can be removed in the same way.

Decrap

Decrap is a free application which requires no installation and is available as an archive. The program promises to help users remove unnecessary applications installed by manufacturers such as Toshiba, Dell, HP or Asus. Decrap can run on any version of Windows, since Windows 2000. After installation, the application will ask you to choose the language, then it will guide the user to identify the applications installed on the computer. The procedure may take several minutes, during which time the application will save a copy of the registry key. The uninstall can be performed automatically, but this option is recommended only for new PCs.

The user can select / deselect all applications or only certain programs. Also Decrap offer the opportunity to make a restore point to go back to the original settings if the uninstall affects system stability. 

SlimComputer

The application is available for free for Windows XP and all later versions of Windows. Although it is an application designed to optimize your computer and remove unwanted applications, Hitman comes with additional software AVG toolbar, its installation can be avoided by choosing a custom installation and un-checking the two AVG options. The program uses an online database and requires an Internet connection to download an updated version. The first time, you cannot select how undesired applications will be detected, the default is recommended.
From the main screen you can choose the scan options, the user having to choose between apps, browser complementary programs, applications running at system startup and shortcuts. Depending on the number of installed applications, verification may take a few minutes. 

PC Decrapifier

The application is available in the free version for personal use, requires no installation and is compatible with several versions of Windows, including Windows 8. The program warns that it may be difficult to distinguish automatically between a trial version and the full version (paid) of a software, so the user is advised to manually select which apps he wants to uninstall. To fix any errors, the program offers the possibility to create a restore point.

I just go ahead and uninstall any programs which are useless or used rarely using the programs and features option in control panel.
